SAPOA
Our Mandate
The mandate of the Southern African Postal Operators Association (SAPOA), as outlined in Article 11 of the SADC Protocol on Transport and Communications, is to ensure that every sector of the community has access to a modern, efficient, and diversified range of mail, financial, and electronic products. In fulfilling this mandate, SAPOA promotes universal postal access, ensuring affordability and inclusivity, particularly in rural and underserved areas. It drives digital transformation by integrating e-commerce, electronic financial services, and digital communication to enhance efficiency and competitiveness. SAPOA also facilitates regional integration by harmonizing postal regulations and operational frameworks, fostering seamless cross-border trade and communication.
